Mediterranean moray eel (Muraena helena)

moray.jpg ThumbnailsLong-snouted seahorse (<i>Hippocampus guttulatus</i> or <i>Hippocampus ramulosus</i>)

Found lurking in holes and crevices as it is mainly a nocturnal predator. The continuous opening and closing of the mouth is not an aggressive action; it is necessary for the moray to breath as it runs water over its gills.
